Jacki has been in private practice for over fifteen (15) years. Jacki’s primary litigation experience has been in the areas of domestic and traffic cases. Jacki has successfully helped over 100 clients with very successful results. Jacki practices in Buchanan, Cass, Clay, Jackson, Lafayette and Platte Counties.
Jacki received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with distinction. Jacki then entered the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School in 1989 through the accelerated program. In law school Jacki was the Chief Justice for the Moot Court Tema. Jacki began practicing as an assistant prosecutor in Clay County, Missouri, during her second year of law school. Jacki graduated from law school in 1992 with a Juris Doctorate Degree.
Jacki continued to work as an assistant prosecutor in Clay County, Missouri, until 1993. Jacki began working as a private criminal defense attorney for a major criminal defense firm where she defended clients in felony matters.
In 1994, Jacki opened her own private practice and in so doing was able to give her clients the individual attention she wanted to. Throughout her career in private practice, Jacki has received numerous judicial appointments as attorney of record in guardianship and conservatorship cases in Platte County, Missouri. Jacki uses the experience she has gained in her judicial appointments to better assist her private clients with probate matters.
Jacki joined the law firm of Accurso & Lett, L.L.C. in 2007. In doing so, Jacki brought to the firm not only her vast experience in domestic litigation, but also her reputation as a premier litigator in the Northland. At Accurso & Lett, L.L.C., Jacki primarily handles domestic issues, which include adoption, custody, child support, dissolution, ex partes, legal separation, modification, orders of protection, paternity and traffic matters. Jacki’s most recent judicial appointment in the area of domestic litigation was as a guardian ad litem for 4 children whose Mother was a victim of a high profile brutal murder.
As the mother of a young child, Jacki is sensitive to the emotional upheaval families go through in domestic situations. Her valuable experience and insights are a high commodity in effectively assisting her clients through the often confusing legal system.
